Kimetsu no Yaiba

A kind-hearted charcoal seller, Tanjiro Kamado, returns home one day to find his family slaughtered by demons. His sole surviving sister, Nezuko, has herself become a demon. Shattered but unyielding, Tanjiro joins the Demon Slayer Corps to seek a way to restore Nezuko’s humanity and hunt down the demon who destroyed his family. Thus begins a sorrow-tinged tale of a brother and sister bound by fate—of humans and demons intertwined.

Kochou Shinobu

The Insect Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps. Always wearing a gentle smile, she is an 18-year-old swordswoman versed in toxicology and pharmacology, specializing in slaying demons with poison. Mistress of the Corps’ infirmary, the Butterfly Estate, she shoulders both combat and medical duties—merciless in battle, unfailingly kind to patients. Often teases the straight-laced Giyu Tomioka. After her beloved sister was killed by demons, she seeks to honor that dream of “peace with demons,” even as she harbors deep anger toward their crimes. During the Natagumo Mountain incident she attempted to execute Nezuko, but was stopped by Giyu; later, at the Hashira Meeting, she recognized the siblings’ resolve and entrusted part of her sister’s wish to Tanjiro and Nezuko.
